CHECKLIST FOR SENIORS AND PARENTS
STUDENT DRESS CODE FOR ALL CEREMONIES
 GIRLS:
o White dress and white shoes(No flip flops)
o Dresses will not be strapless and will not be higher than 2”
above the knee
o No colored hose
o No jewelry other than the senior key and class ring.
 BOYS:
o Solid dark dress pants
o White dress shirts with dark tie
o Dark socks and dark shoes
o No boots, deck type shoes, or sneakers will be worn
o No jewelry will be worn except for the senior key and class ring.
We are excited about your accomplishments, and we want you to enjoy the
events planned for you. However, keep in mind that these are all school
activities, and all school rules will apply.
If you have any questions about any of the activities, ask one of your senior
advisors. We are here to help you. We are extremely proud of you, and we are
committed to making this time an enjoyable time in your life. Your senior
sponsors are Mrs. Shaw, Major Verdugo, Lana Broughton, and Jimbo Barton.
Friday, March 18th----Senior Supplies delivered---11:45 am – 2:00 pm
Thursday April 7th---8:30---Class/Cap and Gown Pictures
 8:30/Lobby CLASS PICTURE will be taken first. DO NOT BE LATE –
WE WILL TAKE THE PICTURE WITHOUT YOU
o Girls - white dress and white shoes
o Boys - dark dress pants and dark shoes
 Weight Room/ (Will be called from class) CAP AND GOWN
o One camera will be for the newspaper only - In that picture, the only
jewelry that can be worn is your senior key and class ring. All other
jewelry, including earrings, must be removed.
o The second camera will be used to take the pictures that you
purchase -You can wear any jewelry you choose to wear in that
picture

Wednesday, May 18---5th block---Practice for awards night and
baccalaureate
 If you don’t attend practice, you WILL NOT participate in the actual event
Thursday, May 19----Baccalaureate service---7 pm
 This is a special service provided for you by the local ministers
 Be in the cafeteria not later than 6:30 pm dressed in cap and gown.
Monday, May 23---Senior awards program---7 pm
 Be in the cafeteria not later than 6:30 pm dressed in cap and gown.
 Many awards are given, and it does not reflect well upon you to be
chosen for an award and not be present to receive it. If there are
circumstances that make it impossible for you to be there, please let Mrs.
Shaw know. If your name is called to receive an award and you are not
present, you will have to stay after practice on Tuesday and write a letter
of apology to the department or agency presenting the award, as proper
etiquette would dictate.
Tuesday, May 24---Graduation Practice---9 am
 Be in the cafeteria not later than 9 am
 If you are not on time, you will remain after practice
 If you do not practice you WILL NOT participate in the actual event
Wednesday, May 25---Practice for graduation (if necessary)---9 am
We will let you know if this practice is necessary based upon Tuesday’s practice
Wednesday, May 25---12:00pm---Obligations PAID
 Your diploma will be pulled and you will receive an obligation form in its
place if you have any outstanding obligations past this date.

Friday, May 27---Graduation---12:30 pm
 THE BIG EVENT
 Be in the cafeteria no later than noon dressed in cap and gown. If you
arrive later than noon, your diploma will be pulled and you will not
participate in the ceremony.
 Each graduate will receive 10 tickets for attendance in the gym
 No children under the age of 6 will be allowed in the gym
 There will be a live video of the ceremony in the auditorium on a big
screen. Anyone can go into the auditorium. No tickets are necessary.
Remember the dress requirement for all ceremonies - These requirements
will be strictly enforced.
