Dear Parents,
As we approach the end of another half-term, we’d like to share some important dates for the rest of the academic year.
 17th June – Calder Taster Day Wednesday 17th June - Calder Taster Day at St John Fishers. Details nearer the time.
 Thursday 18th June – Parents Evening for parents of children starting in September.
 Tuesday 23rd June – Wharfe Big Little Sing at SJF. Details nearer the time.
 Wednesday 24th June – Sports Day
 Thursday 25th June – Ouse visiting Crucial Crew in the afternoon.
 Tuesday 30th June – Nidd/Ribble & Wharfe trip to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park
 Wednesday 1st July – 6.30pm School Sports Awards Evening
 Monday 6th July - KS2 Production – ‘Pirates of the Curry Bean’ -2.00pm &
Tuesday & Wednesday 7th & 8th July at 6.30pm – tickets only.
 Thursday 9th July– Roll up day, children will meet their new teacher for the next academic school year.
 Friday 10th July – Race for Life Event
 Monday 13th July – Leavers Mass
 Tuesday 14th July – Teddy Bears Picnic – Don’t forget your teddy bear, all children on hot dinners will be provided with a
picnic lunch.
 Wednesday 15th July – End of Year Mass at 10.30am
 Friday 17th July – School breaks up for school holidays at 2.30pm
 Monday 7th September – Training Day
 Tuesday 8th September – School re-opens at 08.55am
Bugsy Malone
Our very own Scarlett Watson (Ouse Class) has landed one of the leading parts as ‘Blousey Brown’ in York Stage Musical’s
production of Bugsy Malone. It will be performed at the ‘Joseph Rowntree Theatre’ in York from 22 nd-25th July – tickets are
available from the York Theatre Royal website.
Circus of Life
Below is a picture from the recent Circus of Life concert, which our children took part in at the Royal Hall in Harrogate. Many
