Title: Jellyfish

I took this photo at the Georgia Aquarium. It shows a jellyfish illuminated by artificial light.
You can see an orange color that you probably would not see if you were viewing it in its
natural habitat. I could not use flash so I went to the part of the viewing wall that had the
most light. The light’s affect on the jellyfish as well as the wall behind it was amazing. I
was able to capture the beauty of the creature in a crisp, clear image. I also took some
pictures away from the light and they were not as pretty.
This was still a bit challenging because I depended on flash so much for many of my other
pictures. This assignment was of value to me because I was forced to try multiple settings
on my camera both automatic and manual and I learned about the features of my camera a
little bit more than I knew of it before. One thing I have been discovering about myself, is
that I like to try new angles and perspectives on photography since taking this class. I also
like when pictures can “wow” me.
