#21 – GRAPE Wine Basket includes:
2005 Buena Vista Syrah
91 points - Tasting Panel Magazine
88 points - Wine Spectator
The 2005 Carneros Syrah has aromas of bright blueberry and boysenberry, nutmeg, black licorice and smoked meats.
The palate explores hints of toastiness and exhibits flavors of berry and currant spice, ending in a lingering finish of
plum.
2006 Kestrel Cabernet Sauvignon
The color is very deep purple-ruby, becoming black at its center. The aroma is filled with dark fruit such as black
cherries and black currants, dark spice, dried herbs, toasted coconut, vanilla, jam, and Black Forest Chukar cherries.
This expansive and generous wine is full bodied, dense, and elegant, with firm tannins and a lingering finish. Released
April 2009.
2003 Turley Cellars Zinfandel Mead Ranch Atlas Peak Zinfandel
90-92 points - Wine Advocate
A two year vertical of arguably some of the best zinfandels available. Referred to as "The Zin Masters" Owner Larry
Turley and winemaker Ehren Jordan are making great zinfandels in California from Napa Valley vineyards. The
winemaking of emphasizing maximum ripeness is now considered gospel by many, but the first Turley zinfandels had
unprecedented richness and concentration.
Loaded with sweet black currant, plum, and raspberry fruit is the dark ruby-colored 2003 Zinfandel Mead Ranch (a
medium to full-bodied, 400-case cuvee with 16.5% alcohol grown on a mountaintop vineyard). Bluer, blacker fruits
make an appearance, but what what is best is its purity and fruit-driven character, with less spice and more of the
fruit spectrum represented. Fully integrated tannins and drinking well in 2009. Excellent to pair with red meat and
spicy food.
2004 Clos de Paradis 1er Cru Domaine Pillot
This is a delightful, focused and mineral driven Mercurey from a great vintage. Long and linear on the finish, this is
made for drinking with grilled meats or a roast chicken. Lovely Premier Cru Burgundy from a terrific vintage.
2000 Rochioli River Block Chardonnay
91 – Wine Advisor
"The superb, unfiltered, indigenous yeast-fermented 2000 Chardonnay Estate is the finest Rochioli regular bottling I
have tasted. It is similar to many grand cru white Burgundies, possessing wonderful freshness, an outstanding texture,
medium to full body, and new oak, white peach, honeyed citrus, and tropical fruit characteristics." WA
Also included is a wine pull and wine savers (valued at $35)
Value: $243
#22 - STOMP Wine Basket includes:
2004 Turley Cellars Zinfandel Mead Ranch Atlas Peak Zinfandel
91 points - Cellar Tracker
A two year vertical of arguably some of the best zinfandels available. Referred to as "The Zin Masters" Owner Larry
Turley and winemaker Ehren Jordan are making great zinfandels in California from Napa Valley vineyards. The
winemaking of emphasizing maximum ripeness is now considered gospel by many, but the first Turley zinfandels had
unprecedented richness and concentration.
Displaying an elegant, Pinot Noir-like style, the 2004 Zinfandel Mead Ranch Atlas Peak exhibits a
plum/raspberry/cherry-like character reminiscent of a Pinot Noir from Burgundy’s Cote de Beaune. Dark reddish
purple and an interesting nose of over ripe dark berries and plums with a touch of smoke and earth.
1998 Castello di Querceto Colli Della Toscana Centrale Il Querciolaia 1998
87 Points – Wine Spectator
Lots of plum, berry and light cedar character. Full-bodied, with fine tannins and fresh finish. Slightly austere, but I like
it.
2003 Lachini Pinot Noir Willamette Valley Lachini Family Estate
89 points - Wine Spectator
2003 was a very hot year for Oregon wines, harvest at Lachini Vineyards was a few weeks earlier than expected and
lasted several weeks. Lachini Vineyards 2003 Estate Pinot Noir offers exquisite balance of color, acidity, and tannin
with delightfully ripe fruit. The Estate Pinot Noir has concentrated aromas of ripe black cherries and plums, with a
touch of coffee, spice, cocoa, and earthiness. Sharply focused on the palate, it offers and elegant and graceful silky
texture with mouthwatering fullness and layers of blackberries and dried dark fruits. It reveals finesse and depth with
aging and should be wonderful now through 2011.
2005 Buena Vista Syrah
91 points - Tasting Panel Magazine
88 points - Wine Spectator
The 2005 Carneros Syrah has aromas of bright blueberry and boysenberry, nutmeg, black licorice and smoked meats.
The palate explores hints of toastiness and exhibits flavors of berry and currant spice, ending in a lingering finish of
plum.
