Dear Parents/Guardians,
Due to the safety of our students we will NO longer allow students to be picked up in
the office at 3:15 unless student has an appointment. We will also need an excuse
from the appointment for that day. Any student that is picked up at 3:15 or later will
need to be picked up in the Red Tag rider lane. If you do not have a tag you may come
in and fill one out in the front office. Reminder, morning drop offs are at the East side
door. No parent drop offs in the front of the building until after 8:05 A.M. This will help
to ensure the safety of our students being dismissed to their busses. Thank you for
making student safety a top priority at Owingsville Elementary.

The regularly scheduled monthly meeting of the Owingsville Elementary Site Based
Council for January has been cancelled due to the MLK Jr. Holiday. A specially called
SBDM meeting will take place on Tuesday, January 20th at 4:00 pm in the library at
Owingsville Elementary School. If you should have any questions, please feel free to
contact Chairman Jarrod Slone at 606-674-2722.

Wednesday Lunch-Open faced Manhattan, mashed potatoes, steamed carrots, & tropical fruit
Thursday Breakfast- Grilled cheese, or cereal, toast, & grapes
Thursday Lunch- Mini corn dogs, salad, macaroni and cheese, & peaches

Parents/Guardians: If you have changed your phone number please notify the health unit so we can update your child’s
records.
Just a reminder: If any student needs to take prescription medication at school you MUST have an additional consent form
filled out and signed at the health unit (this goes for inhalers too). We cannot administer any prescribed medication without
this consent signed. All medication must be in the original container with the prescription label attached. Also, students are
not allowed to bring prescription meds on the school bus. Thank you!
One of our Bath County students (Lexie Craig) is in need of your assistance to win a state-wide FFA photo contest
on Facebook. The top three students that receive the most "likes" on their photos will receive cash prizes. In
addition, their FFA chapter will receive a cash prize as well. The top prize is $1,000 for the student and $500 for
the FFA chapter. Here's how you can help: 1) go to the Kentucky Soybean Association Facebook page and
"LIKE” their page. 2) Go to 2014-2015 FFA Photo Contest Photo Album post and open it. 3) Look for LEXIE
CRAIG's picture (they are listed alphabetically by first name). 4) Click on the thumb icon and "LIKE" her picture
(if it turns blue, you did it correctly). You can only "LIKE" it once, so if you can share this information with
others-it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for your vote!
