Thank you for downloading a Medway Community Scholarship application form.
Medway Community Scholarships are a great way of making a positive impact on your
student or local community and the Scholarship panel is really looking forward to
reading about your idea.
Running a project like this will also help you develop the independence and
transferrable skills that employers are looking for.
To help you in the writing process, please take some time to think about the following
criteria. These criteria are what the scholarship panel will be assessing your idea
against and therefore you should do your best to detail about how your idea will
demonstrate each of the points below.
How does my proposal:






Demonstrate a contribution to the development of local and sub-regional economies
Facilitate access to higher education for the people of Medway
Develop skills of the workforce in Medway
Engage with the Medway Community in order to provide educational, cultural, physical
or environmental benefit
Provide an inclusive extra-curricular experience open to all Kent students at Medway in
order to provide educational, cultural, physical or environmental benefit
Keep within University objectives
Some other useful questions to ask yourself:




How many Community members or students are likely to be affected?
To what extent will they benefit?
Is the project proposal feasible?
What kind of support will I require?
