Ducab family marks Holy Month of Ramadan with Iftar
Dubai, UAE; July8, 2015: Ducab, the Middle East’s leading manufacturer of high quality cables and
cabling products, hosted an Iftar gathering for management and employees on July 6 at the Jumeirah
Beach Hotel, Dubai where employees attended the gathering along with their families, enjoying a
relaxed atmosphere in which to create and renew bonds with colleagues.
At the event were board members Dr. Ahmed Al Shaikh, Chairman, and Khalid Lootah. A number of
members of Ducab’s management attended the Iftar as well, including Andrew Shaw, Managing
Director, Hassan Omar, Chief Operating Officer, Mohammed Abdulrahman Almutawa, Chief Commercial
Officer, Arif Choksy, Chief Financial Officer, Graham Cheetham, General Manager – Manufacturing,
Mona Fekri, General Manager – Human Recourses, Ducab, and many other department heads.
Dr. Ahmed Al Shaikh, Chairman, Ducab, said: “Ramadan is a time to celebrate relationships with family,
and we wanted to celebrate the Holy Month with the Ducab family. It is always a pleasure to be at such
events that strengthen the bonds between colleagues across levels, and show that, as an organisation,
we are keen to build bonds with our employees and their families as well. We wish all of our colleagues
and their families a blessed Ramadan.”
Ducab’s employee Iftar event, an annual Ramadan event, aligns with the company’s efforts to boost
employee engagement, while creating an open atmosphere that fosters camaraderie and cultural
exchange.

Earlier in 2014, in a joint venture with Senaat, Ducab announced the formation of DucabAluminium, a 50,000tpa
aluminum rod mill. When complete, the new plant will manufacture Electrical Conductive (EC) grade aluminum
alloy rods, wires, and bare overhead conductors. Environment-friendly processes will be employed within the mill,
and liquid aluminum will be supplied from the EMAL smelter in Taweelah, Abu Dhabi.
