Maywood Middle School
November 4, 2015,
To Parents/Guardians of Mr. An’s 8th Grade Social Studies Classes,
This is a letter to inform you that from time to time we will view and take
notes/discuss information from videos (DVDs) to supplement the curriculum we
are learning about in U.S. History. All of the following videos were purchased
through Social Studies catalogs meant for teachers to use in their classes that I
have accumulated over the last 10 years of having taught U.S. History at the 8th
grade level. That said, I also want to be sensitive and respectful anytime material
is being presented and taught which is why I am sending out this letter. Because
this letter is important and I want to make sure I get this looked at and signed by
each of you, I am making the return of this letter worth 10 points for your student
bringing this back to me by/before Friday, November 13. I know all of you are
busy so I appreciate you taking the time to view this.
Respectfully,
David An
8th Grade Social Studies Teacher
