Trias is looking for a volunteer Prospect Researcher (m/f/x)
The Volunteer Prospect Researcher will be responsible for conducting online and print research in an
effort to identify and qualify prospects (corporations, foundations, etc.) with the capacity to support
financially or partner with TRIAS. As a volunteer Prospect Researcher, you will gain the experience of
working within the NGO sector with exposure to a wide range of roles within the team, including
senior staff. In particular, you will gain experience of international fundraising and will learn prospect
research techniques and how to use a variety of prospect research tools.
Duties and Responsibilities:




Research TRIAS’ top ten international prospects and gather information regarding their
philanthropic interests, giving capacity, historical engagement etc.
Prepare biographical profiles and research reports for use by TRIAS.
Search for new prospects by scanning information on the internet, via social media,
newspapers for organizations and individuals who may have interests which align with TRIAS’
mission, activities and fundraising priorities.
Update and maintain non-gift information on prospects in TRIAS’ central database.
Required Skills and Experience:





Fluent English
Ability to structure, stay organized and focus
Internet research abilities
Experience with NGO fundraising a plus
Knowledge of Microsoft CRM 2013 is a plus
Availability




Start: As soon as possible
6 to 10 hours/week, this summer
Voluntary assignment: only transportation costs (or other costs necessary for the job) will be
reimbursed
Place to work: at home or at Trias Head Officer in Brussels (flexible)
