Customised Machine Translation with Deep
Learning
Project Description (max 300 words)
Machine Translation systems allow users to quickly get good - though not perfect - translations of both text
and speech in another language. At the moment these translations can be very generic and are not easily
customizable to the language preferences of the listener. In this project we will look at the development of
Machine Translation systems that can be customized to the language needs of the receiver. Specifically we
will look at developing architectures based on the current state-of-the-art in Machine Translation systems,
i.e., Deep Learning based Machine Translation.

Min 2.1 Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Related Discipline. Students with experience or
interest in Computational Linguistics are particularly suited.
