Can you imagine all the products we use kill thousands of animals a year? The cute rabbits, monkeys, or any other pet are taken away from their free will, tortured, and suffer by being tested on. Just think of all those innocent animals; they are as equal to us, and should be able to live in a safe habitat. Animals should have the right to live in a safe habitat because torturing an animal life is cruel, it does not work, and there are alternatives.

“The question is not, “Can they reason?” nor “Can they talk?” but rather, “Can they suffer?” For society can agree with Jeremy Bentham’s saying because animals can feel pain just like us. Monkeys being forced to take drugs, having holes drilled into their skull, and exposed to

HIV aids. Pigs with their skin burned, rabbits blinded, and rats’ spinal cords crushed to bits and pieces. It is simply cruel and evil to have an animal suffer from their free will.

Are we sure testing on animals actually works? According to the article, Animal

Experimentation, it won’t 100% guarantee the products are safe to use. Certain cases have proven drugs tested on animals were taken off the shelf. The reason being, the drugs were still too toxic for us to use. We are killing an innocent life for something that does not work, but is it worth it?

For the most part, society can all agree on there is always more than one way to solve a solution. In some countries cosmetic’s company use non-toxic chemicals; to avoid testing on animals. According to the article, Alternatives to Animal Testing, there are other tests that can be used; such as, the human skin model test, 3T3 Neutral Red Uptake Photoxity Test, and microdosing. Microdosing provides information on how safe the drug is for human use. The 3T3

2B test can replace testing on mice or any other animals for testing on medicines. Instead of testing on animals, experimenters should use other alternatives. Besides, it has proven that testing on animals cost more money anyways.

Still, many people say testing on animals can cause consumers of death and sickness.

When it comes to banning animal testing, that is what always stops it from going through. Yes, no one wants to buy any product that has not been tested, but there are other effective ways to test a product. Besides if the chemicals being used are too dangerous to humans, then don’t use it.

Animal testing causes thousands of deaths yearly and is simply cruel. It does not work and there are other ways to test without violence. Together we can stop companies from testing on animals by buying products not tested on animals. All in all, the question is why should they suffer for us?
