Last week in assembly a visitor from the Lewisham Library Service
came to give out certificates to all the children who took part in the
Summer Reading Challenge. It was fantastic to see so many Kilmorie
children had taken part. Well done to all those that completed the
challenge.
Congratulations to our athletics team who took part in the Sydenham
and Forest Hill annual sports hall athletics event. Pupils from Years 5
and 6 competed in two field events and two track events each.
In assembly today we celebrated Harvest. Letters went out on Friday
about our annual Harvest collection of items that we are donating to
the Jericho Project. Your gifts of food, toiletries, men’s clean clothing,
sleeping bags, towels and blankets would be very gratefully received.
Please check that food has a long shelf life. There is a Harvest Box
opposite the office for you to leave your contributions from today until
Monday 12th October 2015.
Finally I was delighted to receive a letter yesterday from the Executive
Director of Children and Young People congratulating Kilmorie on
academic results as they were amongst the highest in the borough. I
am very proud of all those children that contributed to this success
and of course, all the teachers.
Best Wishes
Liz
