Press Release
Salesforce World Tour Becomes Exclusive CeBIT Event Partner
In keeping with the CeBIT slogan of “d!conomy: Join – Create – Succeed”,
Deutsche Messe and Salesforce are teaming up to support companies in their
drive towards digitization.
Staging Salesforce World Tour at CeBIT underscores importance of German
market for Salesforce.
MUNICH, 25 November 2015. Salesforce [NYSE: CRM], the Customer Success
Platform and world’s leading CRM platform, and Deutsche Messe AG announced
in Munich today that the Salesforce World Tour will be an exclusive event partner
at CeBIT 2016. This means that, on the occasion of its 30th anniversary, CeBIT
will be cooperating more intensively with a partner than ever before. This
cooperative effort underscores Salesforce’s ongoing investment in Germany.
At CeBIT 2016, Salesforce will stage its successful customer and partner event –
the Salesforce World Tour – in two halls dedicated solely to the event, plus on
additional areas on the open-air site. This traveling global roadshow will reveal to
visitors how companies can use the Salesforce Customer Success Platform
solutions to accelerate their process of digital transformation and place their main
focus on what is most important to them – their customers. The event will include
inspirational keynotes delivered by members of the Salesforce executive team
and other high-profile guest speakers, specialized theater sessions for different
lines of business and sectors of industry, live demonstrations of the latest
technologies and practical examples of customers who use Salesforce to drive
their growth.
Comments on the announcement:
● “We are delighted to be working together with Salesforce. We are proud
the Salesforce World Tour will be an exclusive CeBIT 2016 event partner,”
said Oliver Frese, Member of the Managing Board at Deutsche Messe.
“We and Salesforce share a common goal, which is to enable companies
to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the digital transformation
phenomenon. That’s why having CeBIT and the Salesforce World Tour at
the same time and place is far more than just the sum of the individual
parts. Both events provide significant added value for all attendees.”
● “Companies place their trust in Salesforce to transform their business
models and drive digitization,” explained Joachim Schreiner, Senior Vice
President of Salesforce and head of the German subsidiary. “The fact that
we are presenting our World Tour at CeBIT also signals loud and clear
how enormously important the German market is for us.”
● “We are delighted that CeBIT and the Salesforce World Tour are now
joining forces,” commented Thomas Göcke, Head of Marketing & CRM at
Koenig & Bauer, a Salesforce customer of many years. “This makes
Hannover more than ever the place to be in March 2016 for anyone who
wants to find out more about exciting innovations and draw fresh
inspiration on their way towards digital transformation.”
Central platform on topic of digital innovation
CeBIT 2016 will take place on the Hannover Exhibition Grounds from 14 to 18
March 2016. Last year the event drew more than 221,000 attendees and over
3,300 exhibiting companies, helping it reinforce its position as the leading global
platform for digitization themes. In the year of CeBIT’s 30th anniversary, the
tradeshow and Salesforce will get together to support companies of all sizes in
the digital transformation process, from DAX-listed enterprises to medium and
small-sized businesses, right on to start-ups. In keeping with the CeBIT motto of
“Join – Create – Succeed”, visitors will find out how technologies involving the
Cloud, social media, mobile applications, big data and the Internet of Things can
help get their companies ready for the age of d!conomy.
Salesforce World Tour at CeBIT
The Salesforce World Tour features an interesting program staged during the
entire length of CeBIT. During the week, Salesforce customers and partners will
present examples of how the digital world enables companies to focus on their
customers and gear their efforts towards meeting customer demands. On each
day of the show, visitors will be able to attend a wide variety of talks, workshops
and theater sessions highlighting the different Salesforce solutions. On
Wednesday there will be high-profile keynotes delivered by Salesforce
executives, customers and partners and, in the evening, a surprise concert
featuring well-known artists.
At the Salesforce World Tour, visitors can find out more about the age of the
customer, in which consumers and objects are networked with one another to a
greater extent than ever before. During the past 16 years, Salesforce has
redefined CRM and integrated social, mobile, big data and IoT technologies into
its cloud platform. These solutions form the Salesforce Customer Success
Platform, enabling companies to connect with their customers in completely new
ways, to do business over the smartphone, to design 1-to-1 customer journeys
and make smarter, more proactive decisions anywhere in real time.
Salesforce.org projects at CeBIT
Since Salesforce was founded in 1999, the company has supported charitable
causes around the world based on its 1-1-1 model in the form of technologies,
financial resources and working time. Salesforce.org has already funded more
than 27,000 non-profit projects and educational institutions with over US$ 100
million and with 1.1 million man hours, with company employees acting as
volunteers. Salesforce.org is an integral part of each Salesforce World Tour stop,
offering participants the opportunity not just to learn, but also to give something
back. In keeping with this tradition, Salesforce will drive forward a number of
initiatives during the World Tour at CeBIT 2016. Details will be announced prior
to the start of CeBIT.
