It is anticipated that the event of GRAD/PROM will cost in the range of $17,000 - $20,000.
This includes: two bursaries from 2013 that have yet to be paid out, three new bursaries for
this year, all the prom activities, food, dance, entertainment and prizes. As well as leaving a
cash startup fund for next year.
We have fundraised by working at the Ridley Terminals Family Day, decorated for the
Rampage New Year’s Eve party, and ran the buckets at the Golf Course Loonie Auction.
There is a lot to do, if you have a fundraising suggestion, would like to sign up for one of the
various committees, make a donation, or pay the fee to avoid fundraising, feel free to
contact one of the executive members of the Grad Parents Committee.
FUNDRAISING
For those families who do not wish to participate in fundraising activities, they have the
option of making a donation to the Grad fund. It has been suggested that a donation of
$200 will be the equivalent what a family will have fundraised if they participated in the
fundraising events. However, you must still help out at PROM!
Note: This does not include the chocolates the grads sold at the beginning of the school
year. The funds from the chocolate sales go to cover the cost of the grad
commencement ceremonies held on the Friday night. Funds raised by events
planned by the Grad Parents Committee go towards the dry prom and three
bursaries.
If you would like to make a donation please contact Cathy Quane at 250 624 9566 or
Christine Komadina at 250-624-6329.
All parents are expected to assist on prom night.
