Homecoming King and Queen
RULES AND QUALIFICATIONS
1. A student must be nominated in order to compete for King and Queen.
2. Any member of a student organization or individual student is allowed to nominate
either themselves or a fellow student.
3. Any organization that is composed solely of males is allowed to nominate one (1)
student for King from within their organization. Each Club or Greek organization that is
composed solely of females is allowed to nominate one (1) student for Queen from
within their organization. If the organization is comprised of both males and females,
that organization is allowed to nominate both one (1) male and one (1) female for King
and Queen from within their organization.
4. In order to be nominated, one must fill out an application on the following page and
explain why they are qualified to compete for Homecoming King and Queen.
5. If there are over 20 applicants, a panel of UNF affiliates will look over all applications
and justifications and choose the Top 20 applicants to go to the interview panel.
6. If applicable, the Top 20 applicants will be interviewed, which will be led and judged by
a panel. The Top 20 applicants will be notified of when and where this will be held via
email.
7. The panel will eliminate 10 of the contestants (5 men and 5 women).
8. The student body will then vote from the Top 10 (5 men and 5 women) to be the
Homecoming King and Queen.
9. If passed into the Top 10, those 10 must be able to help on Monday at Late Night
Breakfast, which will be after Lip Sync.
10. Crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen will take place Thursday, February 21st
during halftime.
POINTS BREAK DOWN
1. Nomination = 25 points for your team (50 points maximum per team)
2. Top 20 = 30 points for your team (60 points maximum per team)
3. Top 10 = 40 points for your team (80 points maximum per team)
4. King or Queen = 50 points for your team (100 points maximum per team)
