That the opening hours for the Christmas period (21 Dec 2015 — 4 Jan 2016
inclusive) are approved.
Reasons for decision
The revised leisure centres opening hours during the Christmas holiday
period will ensure facilities are open when demand is greatest. Opening times
will be staggered allow people to exercise at different facilities at different
times of the day.
There is a prolonged closure at the Rebecca Adlington Centre to
accommodate refurbishment works to the pool surround floor.
Customers will be informed of the revised opening hours and of the
facilities which are available to be used during these periods.
Alternative options considered and rejected
Retain standard opening hours; this would not represent the best use of
resources as customer demand during this period is significantly reduced and
would restrict works at RASC
