3. Double fertilization
4. Why are fruits and seed important for reproduction?
1. Seed and Fruit Dispersal
c. Hand out Seed Dispersal coloring worksheet and assign numbers for coloring
d. Explain assignment (10 minutes). Students will be creating presentations with partners. They will be
using Prezi to create these. Ask students if they have ever used Prezi. If not show an example of a
Prezi. Explain they will be doing the Prezi on seed and fruit dispersal methods. Explain that each group
will be responsible for the assigned method (Expulsion, Wind, Water, and Animals (internal and

Reflection
The lesson worked very well overall. Going over the lab answers as a class was a good
way to keep the students involved. It also gave them a chance to describe why alternative
answers would be accepted. Students followed the notes with enthusiasm. Having a copy of the
notes with blanks for the students to fill them in was a good idea. It allowed the students to take
notes, but also pay attention because they were not too busy writing.
The assignment that I had the students do was a Prezi presentation. Having the rubric
allowed the students to know how they were going to be graded. I went over the rubric each
section at a time and addressed individual questions. I feel as if this was a great assignment. The
students get practice citing sources, presenting, researching, and using technology. Having it
count as a test grade made the students take this assignment seriously. I felt more interaction
from the students during this lesson. I felt more comfortable in front of the students and began to
know their names and personalities.
