The goal of this project is to explore the role and functions of religious institutions in the Ancient
World. Your group will explore the topic assigned. I have provided sub-topics to help your research.
Some of the topics will overlap other groups.
You may create a movie or television scripts to act out; make online or physical scrap books of a
Roman, who experiences your topic; write or illustrate a story that highlights these topics. Be
creative! Show off what you’ve learned to the class!
Your group must create a visual aid and prepare an informative class presentation. Individually, you
must write a 2-3 page paper reflecting your research and how your topic still affects us today. It
should also include your personal thoughts on the subject.
Your paper will be graded separately from your group work. 50% will be dedicated to the group and
50% toward your individual paper.
This project will be due by Oct. 10 (A Day) Oct. 13 (B Day)
Groups:
Each of your group members should have a role or be in charge of a particular portion of the project.
It’s very apparent when someone is not contributing his or her fair share.
