15th Annual Powered by EF Awards
Call for Nominations
Each year, Powered by EF brings together more than 200 leaders in the corporate
citizenship community to celebrate successes of the past year. This year, we will honor
four companies and individuals for their impactful work in corporate responsibility, and
we invite you to submit award nominations to recognize quality community programming
offered around the world.
The 15th Annual Powered by EF Reception and Awards will be held on November 12,
2014 at the Hotel Sofitel in Redwood City, CA.
This year’s award categories are as follows:

Company of the Year: Given to a company that, through its activities and
partnerships during the previous calendar year, clearly demonstrates its
commitment to CSR programs as part of its core business values.

CEO of the Year: Given to a CEO that demonstrates superior commitment to
philanthropy, from his/ her personal commitment to charity to demonstration
of leadership in his/ her company’s corporate responsibility programs.

Practitioner of the Year: Given to an individual who provides a gold standard
example for his/ her efforts in corporate philanthropy and/or corporate
responsibility. This is a prestigious award that gives the CSR community the
chance to recognize and celebrate the work of a leading colleague, peer, or
client in the field of corporate responsibility.

Partnership of the Year: Given to a company that has established a strong
and multifaceted community partnership with a U.S. or international NGO
and continues to develop and deepen the partnership for increasing societal
impact.
Guidelines
-
A company and/or its employees may be nominated for up to two (2) awards.
Nominations can be made by the company itself, peer companies, or partner
organizations.
Nominees are not limited by geography or industry.
Nominations should be submitted in word or PDF via email.
Process
Step 1 – Submit the completed nomination form to JAHopper@siliconvalleycf.org by
Friday, August 1, 2014. Please be sure to number and copy each of the nomination
questions above your response.
Step 2 – Award Notification: Nominators will be notified of honoree selections by
September 1, 2014. If your nominee is selected, portions of your written application may
be read to the audience at the Powered by EF Reception, published in the event
program and used in other community publications. Additionally, honorees may be
asked to participate in the creation of a short video highlighting their award winning
program or initiative.
Step 3 – Award Presentation: Honorees must attend and will be publicly recognized at
the 2014 Powered by EF Reception on November 12, 2014 in Redwood City, CA.
Honorees will receive the award onstage, with the CEO of the Year making formal
acceptance remarks.
