the poor children, the children of landless agricultural laborer families and the children of Dalit
families and orphan children of the surrounding villages. Infant Jesus School is situated in
Sembarai Vinayagapuram, a rural interior economically and educationally backward village, 12
kilometers away from Lalgudi, a small taluk town in Trichirapalli District of Tamilnadu.
Thanks to our well wishers and friends, we were able to have the infrastructures for the school
one by one with their donations and generous contributions. We have class rooms for all
children, a meeting hall, a science laboratory, computer lab and a library for effective learning of
the children.
Infant Jesus School has been very prompt in providing quality education since its inception. The
school had gradually developed with good academic results in the past 20 years of its service. At
present there are 1060 children in the school in the age group of 11 years to 16 years having
secondary and higher secondary education from 6 grade to 12 grade. Out of 1060 children, 450
children belong to fatherless, motherless, the landless agricultural landless laborer families, poor
and Dalit families and neglected children stay in the school as boarders and the remaining
children are attending to school as day scholars from the surrounding villages.

We had agricultural 40 acres of lands owning to Infant Jesus School,-and we had sold 10 acres
for an amount of Rs.25,00,000/- for the initial basement of the construction of the two floor
building and other toilet blocks and bathing yards. We have applied to many donor agencies for
assistance for this our project but we have not availed any funding from any organization so far.
We had availed a bank loan of Rs.30,00,000 and the same we have spent on the construction.
