
Not appealing or compassionate, needs better wording
Solid block of text
Nothing said about what consent is
Limited information: Too much focus on reporting, need more about the emotional &
physical support needed
AGM feedback – the issues that Soc Exec raised were acknowledged, but the response was that the
need to get numbers to AGM outweighed the need for a more balanced approach to how to get
them there. Ideas for how we promote AGM and get students to come along next year are welcome.
Sam – new date for soc exec to meet?

Provisional time of Monday 1pm for next week, Sam to set up doodle poll to figure out a
better time, everyone to fill this out ASAP (before Thursday)
International Showcase & Interfaith Day
Both are part of Worldfest week.
Need to begin planning – Forum lead for showcase is Kristoff, Michael Supporting as Physical Activity
forum are always quite heavily involved. Michael going to get in touch with Kristoff to plan this


Michael & Kristoff to meet with Daniel to discuss specifics
Liase with cultural societies – Michael to contact
Ideas for Interfaith Day (given that an interfaith discussion happened this week and was very
successful – do we build on this/do something more student led/do something completely
different?) - Alameen is forum lead for this event





Hellenic-Cypriot society name change had been approved previously – Daniel to action
Hope not Hate application development fund application enquiry – deadline 10th January,
awarded at beginning of next term. Soc Exec all need to review applications prior to first
meeting to save time when allocating
Hunting society – sent in risk assessment, they still need to talk to shooting & conservation
societies. Jack raised concern it might conflict with Kent Union values. Decision to be made
next week, providing hunting have spoken to societies mentioned above
IEEE – rejected, can’t be a student branch of a national programme.
Libertarian Socialist Society – as it stands, too many clashes with other societies, need proof
of distinction from applicant (feminist, Marxism, debate, current affairs)
Disney Society – they still need to talk to Western Cartoon Society, been ongoing for a while,
Katie to set up a meeting herself
Any Other business
Soc Exec Christmas meal? Yes, to be arranged online through facebook discussion



Student project grant advertising , talk to individual groups and suggest they apply for this
rather than dev fund
Rowena to add to email, forum reps to advertise
Soc exec discussed whether to apply and have more money to allocate to groups, decided as
complete justification is needed for application this would be too difficult
