PROFESSOR ERIKA NOTTI
COURSE AIMS
The course is open to STARS students who have already passed at least one SeLda
exam and who want to strengthen and/or consolidate their English L2 skills at the
B threshold (intermediate). The course will enable the student to develop their
active and passive skills in English, above all, for use in the arts field. The lecturer
will provide differentiated materials and tools to support the learning of both
beginner students and those with advanced skills
COURSE CONTENT
Lectures will involve examining written documents, audiovisuals and videos on
topics related to the arts, theatre and cinema, etc. and the reading and analysis of
the multimedia tools used to communicate the “artistic product”. The course will
focus on consolidating the student’s translation, writing, reading, listening and
speaking abilities.

TEACHING METHOD
Each weekly module (2h + 1h) will comprise:
a) correlated grammar exercises, translation and/or composition;
b) reading comprehension;
c) listening comprehension/conversation.
ASSESSMENT METHOD
Written exam to qualify for the oral exam.
