Museums in Action is the conference where YOU do the talking! Your ideas form the basis of the conference program. This year’s theme is Museums Mean Business. Museums are true economic engines! Locally, statewide and across the country, museums drive the economy. The scope of their impact is varied and wide, and includes audiences from all ranges of income and education. Tourists, local community members and school children are only a few of the groups that frequent museums on a daily basis. Each year nationally, more people visit museums than attend all professional sporting events and theme parks combined! Museums provide jobs, education and community spaces, and are a major attraction for tourism dollars. Museums in Action will take place at the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, NY. The conference facilities include the co-location of the Exhibit Hall and session rooms, along with a number of sitting areas for networking between events. Museums in Action is the premier venue for those who work in New York State’s museum industry to gather, explore ideas, network and learn about new products and services.
