Application to secure a free place on:
Touring Exhibition Group’s Beginning to Tour Seminar
In order to support training opportunities for Accredited museums, and those museums formally
working towards Accreditation in the South West, the South West Museum Development is offering
a limited number of places to support museums wishing to attend the Touring Exhibitions Group
seminar Beginning to Tour on Thursday 4th February 2016 at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum in
Exeter.
SWMDP is funding these places so that museums with ambition to tour, which would otherwise be
unable to fund a place, can benefit from accessing the specialist advice and support delivered on the
day. Therefore we would like you to tell us why you think attending this seminar is important for
your museum and how it will benefit your staff moving forward.
(*Please note attendees will be required to meet their own travel, accommodation and subsistence
costs.)
Eligibility
 The delegate organisation must be recognised by Arts Council England as within the
Accreditation scheme excluding Major Partner Museums at the point of application.
 The delegate’s organisation must be located in the south west.
 Maximum of 1 place per organisation.

before 5pm on Monday 14th December. We will not be able to consider applications made after this
date and time, and may close applications early should we receive a high number of eligible
applications before this date. Successful applicants will be informed no later than 5pm on
Wednesday 16th December.
