Greetings,
Your bargaining team met in Ottawa on June 19 to review proposals submitted by the members and to strategize for upcoming negotiations. Bargaining will commence on September 24, 2015 in Ottawa.
Your committee also discussed a Common Employer application made by the Union which includes your bargaining unit. The Union asserts that your group is doing the same work as Bell
Canada workers and should be treated the same way. The Company responded that they did not fully agree and asked for time to discuss the composition of the bargaining units with the
Union. The Union has responded that three months is enough for these discussions to occur. This will coincide with bargaining dates in September.
Your Bargaining Team will update you as further information becomes available.
