Black History Research Projects Are Due This Friday! Black History Research Projects are due this Friday, February 21st. Students will be required to research his/her assigned person and create a report using that information. A picture must be included of that person. A copied printout of information about the person will not be accepted. Information sheets on this project were sent out last Monday. The project will count as a Social Studies grade and will be worth 100 points. Third Quarter Progress Reports will be distributed this Friday, February 21st. Please make sure they are returned with a parent signature. Thanks. Parents, we still need your help to ensure that our students are familiar and knowledgeable with their multiplication facts. Students should be familiar with their multiplication facts up to 12 by now. PLEASE have your child review their multiplication facts each night. We appreciate all that you do! Thanks. (pp. 384 – 394 Unit 3) to a parent or older sibling then review the vocabulary words and definitions completed in class Tuesday: Compare and contrast (4 ways) the crust from the mantle using a Venn diagram and your story on pp.388-389 Wednesday: Work on your research project; review the Reading vocabulary words and definitions Thursday: Work on your research project Language Arts: (Spelling Words) came, main, Friday, deal, phone, price, used, amaze, nice, sneaky, timer, future Monday: Write each spelling word in cursive then indicate which long vowel sound you hear and write that sound beside the word (a, e, i, o, or u) Tuesday: Write each spelling word in cursive then write a rhyming word for each spelling word in cursive. Make sure you slant. Wednesday: Write a sentence using each spelling word and include a possessive noun (example: Dylan’s, Katelyn’s). Underline the possessive noun. Thursday: Write a paragraph about your favorite part of Mardi Gras or any other kind of parade using at least 3 possessive nouns and 3 long vowel spelling words Math: Review multiplication facts (1 number set) up to 12 each night Complete Workbook/Assignment pages on Multiplication.
