OVERVIEW
Perfect for meetings both large and small, Grand Wailea has 22 richly
appointed meeting rooms and a full-service business center. With the
additional outdoor area, the resort offers a total of 100,000 sq. ft. of
available function space. The resort features the impressive Haleakala
Ballroom, which is Hawaii’s largest resort ballroom. With eight
unique outdoor venues, Grand Wailea offers more options for outdoor
functions than any other hotel in Hawaii. The ballroom, boardrooms
and meeting rooms, all with natural light, are all equipped with stateof-the-art technology – including sound systems, motorized projection
screens and blackout lined sheers on motorized tracks. The ballroom
features closed circuit audio and video link that is interfaced between
the ballroom, the other meeting rooms and the guestrooms.
INDOOR
FACILITIES
Haleakala Ballroom:
At 26,700 sq. ft., the Haleakala Ballroom is the largest resort ballroom
in Hawaii and can be divided into five sections. The three main
sections are divided by double air walls for optimal soundproofing.
Each section has its own outdoor pre-function area in the beautiful
Haleakala Gardens. The room features three beautiful murals depicting
Hawaiian legends significant to the island of Maui. The ceiling is
decorated by one of the world’s largest Venetian glass chandeliers
measuring 70 ft. in length.
Boardrooms:
The Protea and Silversword formal boardrooms are each 682 sq. ft.
They both offer an executive style conference table complete with
twelve matching chairs and a private telephone booth. Protea is
decorated in soothing ivory tones with a granite conference table,
while Silversword is finished in deep mahogany wood and features a
rich wooden conference table.
Meeting Rooms:
Ilima, Pikake, Maile, Plumeria and Hibiscus.
Each of the five main meeting rooms are 1,860 sq. ft. and can be
divided into three 20’ x 30’ sections (620 sq. ft.). Tastefully furnished
in beige and ivory, the woodwork and chandeliers also create an
elegant atmosphere ideal for smaller banquets and meetings. The
South Hawaiian Garden faces all of the breakout rooms creating a
convenient and breathtaking locale for a meal or coffee break.
OUTDOOR
FACILITIES
The climate in Wailea is ideal for outdoor parties and Grand Wailea
offers many different locations throughout its beautifully landscaped
grounds. The destination’s lush gardens and the spectacular ocean
views from every site create spectacular outdoor settings.
Haleakala Gardens (750-3,200 people)
Located outside the Haleakala Ballroom, this 12,000 sq. ft. prefunction area is ideal for both indoor and outdoor events. A gentle
waterfall flows down a rock wall, through a beautifully landscaped
hanging Japanese garden, resting into alternating small ponds framed
by exotic plants and flowers. The backdrop effect is ideal for any type
of event.
Molokini Garden (2,500 people)
With the ocean on one side and a saltwater lagoon on another, this
spacious and versatile lawn area is the largest outdoor function area in
the resort with 22,964 sq. ft. Tiki torches, an imu pit for luaus and the
dramatic lava rock walls are a few touches that create an authentic
Hawaiian ambience. Ideal for performances and presentations, the
garden features a large stage including dressing rooms and is equipped
with electrical support to provide state-of-the-art productions.
Chapel Lawn (400-600 people)
Set against the backdrop of the charming Wailea Seaside Chapel and
fronting Wailea Beach, the 8,830 sq. ft. Chapel Lawn is enchanting
and romantic. The manicured lawn surrounded by palm trees and tiki
torches offers a perfect seaside setting for special events.
Beach Courtyard (300-500 people)
This terraced lawn space is nestled just below the beautiful Hibiscus
pool and just steps away from Wailea Beach. An ideal spot for
welcome receptions, the Beach Courtyard is surrounded by tall palm
trees and offers stunning views of the ocean and the West Maui
mountains.

Chapel Overlook (70-120 people)
Located at the tip of the North Hawaiian Garden, the courtyard
overlooks the chapel and its lush garden and the ocean. The sunset
from here is particularly beautiful, and the venue is best suited for
smaller parties such as wedding receptions and get-togethers for
corporate executives

theatrically framed by the spectacular views, lush tropical gardens,
pools and surroundings. The unique environment is only equaled by
the service level of the resort’s staff. The cuisine is exceptional and an
ice-carving expert creates any imaginable sculpture such as logos of
companies, and full bar stands, from which guests are served chilled
cocktails refrigerated in the stand itself. The staff continually
develops new party ideas. Examples of themed events are: Boogie
Beach Bash, Jazz Under the Stars, Pan Pacific, and Paniolo Style.
The Business Center offers the best in modern equipment and
technology for the communications needs of any guest. Services
include copying, faxing, packing and shipping, and access to high–
speed Internet. Rental of fax machines, cellular phones and pagers is
also available.

Grand Wailea offers a mix of elegance and fun for individual meeting
attendees as well as their families. A true destination, the offerings
range from the world-class, award winning Spa Grande to Wailea
Beach to the extensive activity pools, top golf and tennis facilities and
a camp tailored to fulfill every child’s dream.
Pools
 The Wailea Canyon Activity Pool, a multi-faceted, 2,000-ft.
long, 25,700 sq. ft., and 770,000-gallon pool consists of nine
free-form pools at six levels, beginning at 40 ft. and dropping
to sea level. A river that carries swimmers along at varying
speeds, from white water rapids to lazy currents, connects the
pools. Wailea Canyon includes four jungle pools, four
fiberglass slides, a white water rapids slide, a Tarzan pool with
rope swing, the world’s only water elevator, a sand beach, six
waterfalls, caves, three Jacuzzis, a sauna, an infant pool, and a
swim-up bar, where guests can order refreshing beverages.

The Scuba Pool, a 10-ft. deep pool, where guests can attend a
complimentary introductory Scuba lesson. These clinics are
offered twice daily for guests 12 years of age and older.

The Hibiscus Pool for adult use is named for the giant mosaic
tiled Hibiscus flower which graces the bottom. The Hibiscus
flower is made from over 630,000 pieces of Mexican glass
mosaic tile. The entire pool contains over 2.2 million
individual tiles and features two Jacuzzis.
Spa Grande
The 50,000 sq. ft. spa is the largest spa in Hawaii. The world
renowned Spa Grande has 40 treatment rooms and more than 100
treatments to choose from, including indigenous Hawaiian treatments
and traditional spa fare such as Swedish massage, shiatsu and
aromatherapy. Prior to treatments, guests are invited to relax in the
Termé Wailea Hydrotherapy, a series of international water therapies
featuring five specialty baths, Roman Tub, cool plunges, waterfall
showers, steam room, sauna, and Swiss jet showers. Guests receive an
invigorating loofah scrub prior to their massage, facial or body
treatment. Grand Wailea has expanded its services for children and
teens. Spa services now range from Spa Grande’s Wave Massage,
Tropical Fruits Scrub to a Honey Sugar Manicure and Henna Tattoos.
Golf
Three 18-hole championship courses include the Wailea Gold Course,
the Wailea Emerald Course and the Wailea Blue Course at the Wailea
Golf Club. Guests can also play the North and South Courses, two 18hole championship courses at the Makena Golf Club.
Tennis
11-court complex, including three lit for night play at the Wailea
Tennis Club.

Camp Grande
A 20,000 sq. ft. “Kid’s Resort Within A Resort” for children ages five
to 12. Half and full day programs are available. Children are
supervised by a well-trained and highly qualified staff. Camp Grande
features a snack bar, movie theatre, arts & crafts room, video arcade,
foosball, ping-pong and pool tables. Cultural and art workshops are
offered for the whole family including lei making, Hawaiian tile
painting, puka shell necklace making and more. Teens are invited to
relax at Spa Grande during “Co-ed Teen Spa Night,” dance the night
away at “Tsunami Teen Dance,” and compete on the big screen in
Camp Grande’s movie theatre at the “XCamp Grande is a fully licensed and insured childcare facility.
