DAVID L. TYERYAR
Biography
Dave Tyeryar currently holds the position of Deputy Secretary of Transportation for the
Commonwealth of Virginia. From 2001 until 2010 he served as Budget Director for
Prince William County. Mr. Tyeryar was the County’s Budget Director when its bond
rating was upgraded to AAA in 2004 and helped guide the organization through $143
million of budget cutting from 2007 to 2010.
Mr. Tyeryar’s professional experience includes serving as Accounting Manager for
Prince William and Fairfax Counties in VA. He has worked in public accounting,
auditing, consulting and as a tax advisor. Mr. Tyeryar is a Certified Public Accountant
and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Roanoke College. He
has also served as an adjunct professor.
