This is a revision of the plan of study for the EnglishTeaching major.

The revision is necessary to meet new guidelines from the Indiana Department of Education, Rules for Education Preparation and
Accountability (REPA), which require that content areas for teaching majors be equivalent to course requirements for non-teaching
majors.

Students majoring in Engish Teaching will have a plan of study that meets REPA requirements, and will qualify for teaching
certification under these new rules.

This revision has an impact on the Department of Teacher Preparation, and has been discussed with appropriate faculty in that
department.
