Dacusville Schools 2015-2016 Pageant Registration
The Dacusville Middle School MISS GOLDWAVE PAGEANT will be held this year on
Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 5:00pm at the Pickens High School Auditorium. The pageant is
open to girls of Dacusville Elementary School and Dacusville Middle School only. If you would
like to enter your child, please submit the $40 non-refundable registration fee along with the
Contestant Information Sheet to Dacusville Middle School on or before 4:00 pm, Friday,
October 30th. No late entries will be accepted.
Awards will be given in the following categories*:
 Elementary School Level
o Miss k-4, Miss K-5, Miss First Grade, Miss Second Grade, Miss Third Grade,
Miss Fourth Grade, Miss Fifth Grade, and Elementary School Ad Queen.
 Middle School Level
o Miss Sixth Grade, Miss Seventh Grade, Miss Eighth Grade, Miss Gold Wave,
Miss Congeniality in 6th, 7th, and 8th, and Middle School Ad Queen.
*Grade levels may be combined depending on the number of contestants.
Contestants will be judged on the stage the night of the pageant by a panel of judges.
All contestants will be judged in the areas of onstage personality, level of confidence, overall
dress, and facial expression. Ad Queens will be awarded to the contestants of both the
elementary school and middle school that sells the most advertisements for the program. They
will receive a separate trophy, crown, and sash. 6th, 7th, and 8th Miss Congeniality will be voted
on by their peers. A trophy, crown, and sash are awarded for this category as well.
Dress for the night is pageant wear.
Flowers will be for sale the night of the pageant at a nominal price.
Contestant Ad Pages: Contestants may submit ad pages for the program book. Any ad
money collected will be in addition to the $40 registration fee. If your child plans on having
an ad page in the program book, ad money is due on or before 4:00 pm, Friday, January 22,
2016.(Information is attached.)
We will be offering a Pageant Workshop again this year for the contestants. We will
schedule this for some time in November once we have received all of the registration forms.

Pageant Registration Forms and Money due to
Dacusville Middle School by 4:00pm.
DMS has scheduled pageant workshops in November.
Pageant Specialists from Dimitra Designs will be there to give
pageant advice and discount coupons. Mrs. Gaston, Mrs.
Harrison, and Mrs. Looper will be there to go over rehearsal
and pageant procedures, ad pages, etc. Bring all of your
questions!
ALL Ads and Ad money are due to Dacusville Middle School by
4:00pm.
PAGEANT PRACTICE!!!!! This is a SDPC inclement weather
make-up day. If we do not miss any school days up until this
point, we will schedule practice early in the day. If we do
have to use this day as a school day, we will begin practice at
3:30pm. Practice will be held at the Pickens High School
Auditorium. We will send information home regarding
practice closer to the pageant date.
MISS GOLDWAVE PAGEANT!!! The pageant will begin at
5:00pm. We will stagger check-in times after we get
contestant counts. All of this information will be sent home
after the October 30th Pageant Registration deadline.
