M.A. in Integrated Global Communication at Kennesaw State University
LAUNCHING FALL 2011
Preparing a
new generation
of leaders
in globally
integrated
organizations
Because of the speed, span and
reach of information technology,
tomorrow’s communication leaders
will be challenged like no others.
Organizations must be prepared to
compete for market share, mind
share and competitive positioning
on a global scale. Building and
strengthening cooperation,
collaboration and coordination
among important global
organizational stakeholders will
require knowledge and skills
previous generations of
professional communicators never
imagined.
Thinking, assessing, analyzing and
creating from a global perspective
The M.A. in Integrated Global
Communication at Kennesaw State
University is preparing a new
generation of leaders in globally
integrated organizations. This
innovative and contemporary
master’s program is aimed at
communication professionals who
appreciate how economically
interdependent and socially
interconnected the world has
become. The program prepares
tomorrow’s communication leaders
to think, assess, analyze and
create from a global perspective.
Featuring the only global communication
masters program in the southeast
The M.A. in Integrated Global
Communication at Kennesaw State
University is the only master’s
program in the southeast and one
of only a handful in the U.S.
devoted to global communication.
Located in one of the nation’s
most vibrant global business and
media centers, the Atlanta-metro
area, the program offers an
excellent balance of theory and
skills important for a professional
master’s program.
Building collaboration and leadership
with a cohort model
The M.A. in Integrated Global
Communication is a 16-month
program that begins in the fall and
ends at the conclusion of the
following fall. A cohort model
where students advance through
the program together builds
collaboration and leadership skills.
Immersing students in foreign cultures
through an international experience
The hallmark of the M.A. in
Integrated Global Communication
is the summer international
experience where students travel
abroad to experience foreign
cultures. Students may take a twoweek study tour of a global
commercial center such as Hong
Kong or London, work abroad in a
professional practicum for a global
corporation or international
nonprofit, or study abroad at a KSU
partner institution.
Finishing with a team-oriented
professional project
The capstone course for the M.A.
in Integrated
Global
Communication
is a team-oriented, professional
project where student teams
compete against each other to
resolve a global communication
project for a client.
An all-inclusive tuition that includes
textbooks and international travel
The $28,000 tuition for the M.A. in
Integrated Global Communication
covers all four semesters and
includes costs for KSU student
fees, textbooks and other learning
materials for all four semesters, as
well as the cost of round-trip
airfare to international locations
for the summer international
