1. What are the requirements for both unconditional and conditional
admission?
Unconditional Admission:
International students who demonstrate a proven track record of success in the
classroom and on standardized tests will have an opportunity to receive an
unconditional acceptance to Presbyterian College. Strong candidates for an
unconditional acceptance will have a 3.0 recalculated grade point average and a
score of 79 on the TOEFL/IBT, and/or 6.0 on the IELTS.
Conditional Admission:
Students who have demonstrated success in the classroom, but have not reached the
test scores listed above may have the opportunity to come to PC on a provisional
basis. All provisional students will be required to take additional coursework to finetune and improve their English skills.

While students are able to major in more than 30 areas of study, the most popular
majors at PC include Business, Psychology, Biology, Education, and History. These
majors are consistently popular due to unique course offerings and exceptional and
innovative faculty.

Presbyterian College accepts transfer credits based on a special review from the
Registrar’s Office and faculty members.

Are any scholarships available? What kinds of students can receive
scholarships?
Presbyterian College offers a wide range of merit scholarship based on a student’s
academic performance. Merit scholarships range from $5,000-$15,000. All students
are eligible to receive merit-based scholarships.

Where is PC located and what are the advantages of its location?
PC is conveniently located in the upstate of South Carolina on a 240-acre campus
lined with beautiful trees, columned buildings, and a gorgeous plaza. The small
college town of Clinton, South Carolina offers students a safe living and learning
environment and a moderate climate year-round. The Office of Student Life
provides a vibrant offering of evening and weekend activities throughout the
academic year. PC’s campus is central to the surrounding cities of Greenville,
Spartanburg, and Columbia, and is just a short drive away from the mountains or the
beach.

Is there any internships for international students? Paid or unpaid?
The Career Development Office assists students with finding internships that will
help them narrow their career goals and aspirations while providing tremendous
practical experience. Most internships are for credit hours and do not carry a stipend
or salary. However, some companies do offer paid internships.
8.
What kind of students can live on campus? How about the dormitory?
Approximately 98% of students attending Presbyterian College live on campus,
creating a wonderful living and learning community. All students are eligible to live
on campus. PC offers a wide range of traditional residence halls, as well as
apartment-style housing. There is also an international living-learning community,
Carol International House, which welcomes both American students and
international students to work together to help the campus community celebrate
world cultures.

to enroll for their master studies?
The four-year graduation rate for Presbyterian College is over 60%. PC graduates
who go on to pursue Master’s degrees and Doctorates move on to a variety of
outstanding programs at well-established universities in the southeastern United
States and around the country.

Within 6 months of graduation, more than 90% of PC graduates are employed or
full-time graduate students. Many PC graduates are employees of major companies
in the surrounding metropolitan areas throughout the southeastern United States.
12. Can students of Continuous Education/Self-taught Higher Education apply for
PC?
PC’s strengths focus on traditional, full-time college students with classes taught by
professors on campus. While we do offer some online classes during summer session,
our focus is on the classroom experience and face-to-face interaction between
professors and students.

Office of International Programs at Presbyterian College
The Office of International Programs (OIP) at Presbyterian College exists to serve the
unique needs of our international student community. OIP is available to help international
students in a variety of ways throughout their entire career at PC. One of the major
responsibilities of OIP is to support international students with the visa and immigration
process. OIP also provides complimentary airport pickup for newly arriving international
students. Once students are at PC, OIP staff provides a comprehensive international student
orientation at the beginning of the semester to ensure that the international students are well
prepared for their academic courses as well as daily life at PC. Throughout the course of
their studies, OIP continues to assist international students with academic advising and a
variety of extracurricular programs in order to aide international students during the cultural
adjustment process. Additionally, OIP facilitates international students’ understanding of
American culture by offering several regional excursions to international students as a
chance to explore the surrounding areas. Previous excursions have included popular tourist
destinations such as Charleston, South Carolina and Savannah, Georgia.
