Job Description:
The Physician Assistant collaborates with the Pediatricians in an office setting.
Responsibilities include: obtaining medical histories, performing physical exams, ordering
appropriate lab and diagnostic tests, adjudication of test results, developing a plan of care,
providing patient education about underlying medical condition for parents as well as the patient,
prescribing medications, initiate chart notes and referral letters. Administers
medication/immunizations, suturing, managing wounds and infections, etc. Other duties as
assigned by supervising physicians.
Job Requirements:
Current New York State license.
Certification by National Commission of Certification of Physicians Assistants.
Competence with computerized health records.
Ability to work with other medical professionals.
Preference given to those with Pediatric Experience.
Practice Hours:
Monday through Saturday, normal business hours with some evenings and Saturdays
hours although usually limited.
