STUDENT SEASON TICKETS – NORTHERN RAIL
Over the last few months we have been working closely with Northern Rail to improve the travel
arrangements for students who travel to school by train. You will be aware that revenue teams regularly
patrol Guiseley, Baildon and Menston stations.
In order to improve queues at Guiseley station, we have been trialling having a ticket seller in school at
lunchtimes which has been very successful. In addition to this, Guieley School students are able to participate
in the ‘Scholar Season Ticket Scheme’. This scheme is a time time only yearly ticket and subsequently
represents considerable savings. It also removes the need to purchase tickets on a daily or weekly basis.
I have attached the details of the scheme and the application form. We have, in liaison with Northern Rail,
negotiated a special price for parents who would like to purchase a ticket for their child for this summer term
only.
The prices for this can be found in the table below and the ticket would valid from 21 st April 2015 until 17th
July 2015..
