Learning Objectives:
MONDAY:
-Students will begin reading A Raisin in the Sun and
become familiar with reading a play
-Students will determine the meaning of words/phrases
as they are used in a text
--Students will properly define, identify, and use
compound sentence parts
TUESDAY:
-Students will determine the meaning of words/phrases
as they are used in a text
-Students will write arguments to support claims using
valid reasoning and relevant and sufficient evidence.
-Students will properly define, identify, and use subjects
in sentences
WEDNESDAY:
-Students will determine the meaning of words/phrases
as they are used in a text
-Students will properly define, identify, and use
complements
THURSDAY:
-Students will compare characters and draw conclusions
about their function in the play
-Students will participate in a group activity and review
grammar covered so far this quarter
FRIDAY:
-Students will recognize the ideas and attitudes each
character represents-Students will review vocabulary
covered in this unit though a game
-Students will demonstrate their ability to define,
identify and use standard conventions of grammar
-Students will determine the meaning of words/phrases
as they are used in a text
