 The tectonic plates
 The direction the plates are moving
 Current active volcanos
 Major earthquakes from the last year
 Major mountain ranges

1. Save your mymaps as Earth Project – firstname.lastname
2. You must complete the following in your assignment
a. On your map, you must draw out all the Major tectonic plates found on Earth
b. On your map, using arrows, show if the plates are moving towards each other
or away from each other
c. On your map, indicate 5 active volcanoes found on Earth. Add a picture and
write 5 things about each volcano.
d. On your map, indicate 5 major earthquakes that occurred the last few years.
Write 5 things about each earthquake.
e. On your map, draw out 5 major mountain ranges. Write 5 things about each
mountain range.
f. A paragraph (you can locate it at Peace River) that explains how tectonic
plates affect volcanoes, earthquakes and mountain ranges.
