Professional Pathway : MSc Integrative Psychotherapy
United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Professional Standards for Education
and Training specify a minimum of 4 years for psychotherapy training and 3 years for
training in counselling. At Newman this is achieved via 2 linked academic qualifications – the
Graduate Certificate in Integrative Psychotherapy Studies and the MSc in Integrative
Psychotherapy.
There are 5 pathway options within this programme:

MSc Integrative Psychotherapy (Child & Adolescent & Adult combined )
PG Dip Integrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapeutic Counselling
PG Dip Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counselling (Adult)
Most teaching for the different pathways is together, with differentiation by client group as
relevant. The programme structure is as follows:
