APPLICATION FOR UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION
All applications must be accompanied by a non-refundable processing fee of $20.00. If applications are
being hand delivered, the fee should be paid in cash at our office between the hours of 9:00 am to 5:00
pm weekdays. If using postal services, the processing fee-money order or bank draft (no cash) should be
included in tightly sealed envelope using the mailing address stated above.
Application Deadlines
Fall Semester (August/September) - last Friday in February
*Currently we are only accepting Fall admission for our Associate Degree Program
Required Documents
1. Copy of valid Certificate of Identity or copies of the pages of a valid passport showing the
following: date of expiration and personal information including applicant’s full name, place of
birth, and date of birth;
2. Copy of affidavit or marriage certificate (only if name used on passport or Certificate of identity
differs from that on academic certificate or other documents);
3. Copy of Immigration documents (if not a Bahamian citizen)
4. Official High school transcript (only if currently enrolled in high school or graduated within the
last three years and did not go to College/University). The Institute reserves the right to request
additional transcripts
5. Official College/University Transcript(s) - from all postsecondary institutions attended (official
transcript(s) must be mailed from the institution issuing the transcripts to the Institute Office
address listed above. If hand delivered, the transcript must still be in the original stamped and
sealed envelope by the forwarding institution and must not have been opened.);
6. Course outlines of courses taken while enrolled at any previous College/University. Please note
that in order to receive transfer of credits in a timely manner, official transcript(s) and course
outline(s) must be in the Office of the Institute no later than eight (8) weeks after the
Application Deadlines noted above according to applied semester;
7. Certified Copy of Academic Certificates (BJC, BGCSE, IB, SAT), Diplomas and Degrees
8. Essay outlining future goals and plans
9. TWO letters of reference: one from a teacher/professor or employer AND one from a
community leader
Applicants must submit ALL relevant documents noted 1-9. All successful applicants will be required
to submit a valid Police record and a complete medical/physical as a part of the requirement entry.
Failure to submit relevant supporting documents could result in file closure for applied semester and
the need to reapply.
