1.
Provide any additional changes made to the Program that were not a part of your Program Review report.
 WI DSP&S counselor/coordinator was hired Fall 2012 and replaced a DSP&S director position.
 Modified and revised goals 1, 2, 4, 5, 6
 Deleted goal 3
2.
List in detail any new Program needs and a brief rational for this need.
 Ensure DSP&S student files are compliant with Title V requirements/MIS student numbers: Due to current concerns of DSP&S student file compliance,
Willow International reviewed all DSP&S files, updated, and completed an internal audit. 75 files were identified as severely non-compliant and were therefore
made as inactive. Of the remaining files (approximately 200) there was a large number of files that were incomplete (only need one or two forms), attempts will
be made to make these files compliant by the end of the year, but overall there will be an expected decrease in actual students claimed, due to a stronger
enforcement of reporting requirements and Willow International’s effort to ensure all of the DSP&S student files are in compliance for MIS reporting. An
external audit of files is scheduled to occur at the end of the 12-13 academic year.
 Modify policies, procedures, and forms for test proctoring and notetaking: Due to concerns of test security and lack of awareness of accommodation practices at
Willow International Community College Center, there was an urgent need to update and modify accommodation procedures to increase test security, increase
encourage appropriate test implementation, and increase instructor awareness of the DSP&S program. Created new policies, procedures, forms for test
proctoring and notetaking. Implemented forms starting SP 2013. Will review and assess effectiveness of new forms after Spring 2013.
3.
Summarize the progress your Program has made this year on PLO assessment.
 Reviewed current program review and PLO documents
 Revised and modified PLO’s
4.
Provide any additional information that your Program would like to share.
 There is a conscience effort to make Willow International Community College Center a universally designed campus therefore integrating the DSP&S office,
programs, and services into general college procedures, practices and facilities. For Spring 2013, the DSP&S counselor/coordinator office moved into student
services general office area and the testing center was designated as the primary area for test proctoring. Will continue to focus on making the campus
universally designed as needed in the future.
