Valley Behavioral Health is a professional, therapeutic services organization with 800+ team members
operating 60+ programs that provide a comprehensive menu of treatment and services for people of all
ages who are experiencing severe mental illnesses, substance use disorders and behavior problems. We
have a well trained and caring staff of therapists, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, case managers, social
workers and medical staff. We are a Utah based company with operations in Salt Lake, Summit, and
Tooele Counties.

Exceptional, solution-focused, enthusiastic, qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of IT
Manager. This is a full-time, exciting, demanding position that will support the company’s strategic plan,
reporting directly to the CIO who provides supervision and guidance about relative emphasis to be
placed on each technology initiative undertaken, acceptable timelines, expenditure parameters, insight
on possible outcomes, consultation on the integration of technology strategies with other organizational
goals, and feedback about organizational satisfaction levels.

Schedule: 40-60 hrs/week as needed
Pay: $75,000/yr

Qualifications:
·
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business (or Management), Computer Science or related discipline
from an accredited University/College
·
Strong preference given to candidates with CISSP certification & 3-5 years of practical experience
in information security field
·
Minimum 7-10 years experience in IT infrastructure, as well as Helpdesk design and management,
database/data warehouse design, networking, storage architecture, server & desktop virtualization, and
telecommunications
·
Significant experience in new computing architectures and implementation of networked
computing structures
·
Minimum 5 years project management experience with preference given to PMP certified
candidates, but not required
·
Familiarity with:
o Desktop, notebook, handheld, and server computer hardware.
o Local and wide area network design, implementation, and operation.
o SaaS, Cloud, and distributed systems architectures.
o HIPAA data security requirements and Health Information Management Systems and Software (of
various types);
o Operating systems such as Windows, Unix, and Linux.
o Various computer peripherals such as printers, monitors, modems and other equipment

Knowledge of various office productivity software programs such as word processing, databases,
spreadsheet programs, and communications software
·
Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship
management
·
An established record of managing technical staff (Service/HelpDesk) and producing quantifiable
results, including 24 x 7 high availability of all systems is essential
·
Demonstrated experience in organizing, planning and executing complex projects involving
internal personnel, contractors, and consultants.
·
General knowledge of business processes and their interrelationship gained through three or more
years of related experience.
·
Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, both logical and interpersonal.
·
Effective verbal and written communications skills and effective presentation skills, all geared
toward coordination and education.
·
Ability to negotiate and defuse conflict.
·
Self-motivator, independent, cooperative, flexible, creative.
·
Current drivers license and access to reliable transportation; ability and willingness to travel when
necessary.
Responsibilities:
·
Responsible for the technical leadership and staff management of IT Support Services (HelpDesk),
focusing on technology planning, implementation and support of networks, systems, integration,
information security, telecommunications, applications, multiple platforms, architectures, environments
and emerging technologies, all within current and future multiple locations.
·
Work closely with the CIO to redesign the IT department through the development and
implementation of strategy.
·
Partner with colleagues and all stakeholders to identify system and support requirements during
major technology project design phase, e.g. data warehousing schema development.
·
Directs staff and acts in a consultative manner in building infrastructure based on required
computing architectures to improve business processes and support critical business-driven IT and
corporate strategies.

Use technology to drive growth
·
Assist CIO with implementation and maintenance of current Electronic Health Record
·
Responsible for ensuring production and communication support, capacity planning, disaster
recovery and vendor management.
·
Oversees all required tasks and activities to insure that there is 24X7 availability and security of
systems.
·
Leads Internet development staff in support of rapid deployment of products and features.
·
Oversees security and platforms for multiple websites and data center (primary & D/R site) hosting
and collocations.
·
Assists CIO with creation and management of the IT operating expense and capital budgets.
