Williams, RN, BSN, MSN is the State School Nurse Consultant at the SC Department of Health & Environmental Control. She has worked in school health for 25 years as a School Nurse; two of those years were with DHEC’s Preschool Health Appraisal Program (PSHAP). She has provided direct medical care and management to students during the school day as it relates to: acute and chronic illness; individual health care plans/emergency action plan; self-care; health education; collaboration of needs; patient advocacy; and referrals. A. Lane Bowen, FNP-C is a boardcertified family nurse practitioner specializing in rural healthcare. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Nursing, where she received her Bachelor and Masters degrees of nursing. She is a National Health Service Corps participant and is practicing in a family practice in Winnsboro, SC, with patients across the lifespan in acute, chronic, and preventive healthcare.
