and make informed educational decisions.
REMEMBRANCE DAY ASSEMBLY
Our annual school assembly to honor those who fought for the freedoms we enjoy today
will be held in the school gym on Monday, November 10 at 9am. Representatives from
the Kensington Legion, as well as local cadets and the KISH band will be in attendance.
Parents and friends are also welcome to attend.
CANADIAN PARENTS FOR FRENCH
Now that your child is in the French Immersion (FI) program at KISH, we thought you
might have some questions about homework, math, marks, extracurricular opportunities
to speak French, etc. If so, the KISH CPF chapter invites you to meet teachers and
students in the French Immersion program and answer some of your questions. You will
also have an opportunity to learn about CPF and how having a CPF chapter in the school
supports the teachers and students. The meeting will be held on Thursday, November 6
from 7:30-8:30 in the KISH library. Hope to see you there!
GRADE 12 NOTES
The first grad activity was held on Tuesday, October 28 when participating students went
to the Haunted Mansion in Kensington and had pizza afterwards at the school.
Just a reminder that the $50 grad fee is now due. This money helps to cover some of the
costs of activities held each month, as well as graduation supplies.
Jostens will be at the school at lunch on Monday, November 3 and Tuesday, November 4
with a display of grad rings available to order.
KISH SPIRITWEAR
Once again the KISH Student Council will be selling Spiritwear this fall. Clothing will go
on sale Thursday, November 6 and we’ll be collecting orders until Tuesday, November 18,
with delivery to the school before Christmas. If you’re looking for gifts or stocking
stuffers, please check us out. Samples will on display during parent-teacher interviews
on Thursday, November 6 from 3:30-7:30pm and on Friday, November 7 from 9-10:30am.
