CLASSROOM, LAB AND OFFICE ETIQUETTE

What in the World?!?

Read the situation below and analyze what is going on. What is everyone feeling or thinking and how can the situation be helped or resolved?

An international student named Ahn is in her first university class. She is immediately annoyed by a fellow classmate who eats chips from a bag that crinkles and makes noise during the entire class. It is so distracting she cannot even listen to the instructor. Everyone else in the class does not seem to notice, in fact, she is pretty sure one of the students kept his iTunes on the entire class. She decides that this instructor must not be a very good instructor nor respected very much. So, the next day, she drops this section of the course and adds another section with a different instructor. When she goes to the new class, she sits at the front of the class. She is surprised to immediately hear a student unwrap candy and eat candy while another student chomps on ice from a fast food cup. She is frustrated and annoyed.
