Lecture Competition 2016
The first, local round of the 2016 Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining (IOM3)
national Young Persons’ Lecture Competition will be hosted by the NDMS at
Cardiff University.
Please come to listen and enjoy some interesting short talks presented by
aspiring scientists and engineers from university and industry with a variety of
interests in engineering materials and their applications.
Lectures include:“From Golf Balls to Hip Implants”
“Using virtual techniques to locate fatigue cracks in aerospace structures”
“Constitutive modelling of biological tissues”
Date: Tuesday, 26th January 2016 at 5.00pm
Free buffet and networking to follow.
Venue: Cardiff University School of Engineering, Central Building, 14-17, The Parade,
CF24 3AA, Room C1.10/11 – directions from University gatehouse. Parking available.
