This is an opportunity for a well-qualified, enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher to join our
oversubscribed 11 – 18 grammar school which will have 500 girls on roll, including 140 Sixth
Form students. The school is situated in the busy market town of Newport, eight miles from the
centre of Telford. Newport is also in commuting distance of Stafford, Shrewsbury,
Wolverhampton and north Birmingham.
The school moved to Academy status in 2011 and consistently achieves excellent results and
standards within a caring, supportive and modern environment.
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher and form tutor, who would work within the
English department, and contribute to the delivery of the English curriculum to all year groups.
The applicant should, therefore, have experience of teaching English and English Literature to all
key stages including A level. The school would welcome applications from both NQTs and
experienced teachers.
