and carrying out of the University courses at the Donau-Universität Krems
1. Admission procedure and granting of study place
With the signing of the application form by the applicant, the
enrolment for the respective University course is legally binding.
After the positive completion of a selection procedure, the DonauUniversität Krems issues the confirmation of a study place.
The granting of the study place is effected by means of written
notification to the participant.
Costs arising in connection with the selection procedure may not
be charged to the Donau-Universität Krems.
2. Participant’s fees and payment arrangements
Participant’s fees are payable for all University courses of the
Donau-Universität Krems; they include the charges for the
course, the costs of the course documents and the
StudienServiceCard and are contained in the application form.
The participant’s fees are currently exempt from VAT. The costs
of travel, residence and food are not included in the participant’s
fees.
The determination of charges for the University courses and their
collection as well as the payment arrangements are incumbent on
the Rectorate.
In principle, the participant’s fee is due in total before the start of
the course. Different (individual) payment arrangements are to be
approved by the Rectorate.
The Donau-Universität Krems retains the right to send the
outgoing invoices, the payment reminder and the first demand
note in electronic form.
In the case of payment arrears, the participant will be charged
arrears interest in the amount of 4% per annum plus reminder
costs. In the case of payment arrears, the participant furthermore
undertakes to reimburse the DUK for any charges for debt
collection and legal costs, insofar as they serve the appropriate
legal pursuit.
The remittance of the participant’s fees is carried out by means of
a giro-transfer form to the BA-CA Krems, BSC (bank sort code)
12000, account number 03974041000 of the Donau-Universität
Krems, citing the outgoing invoice number. Any banking charges
for the transfer are payable by the participant.

him/herself.

the express written approval of the Donau-Universität Krems or of
the respective author or of the holder of the ancillary copyrights.

In this case, a cancellation fee in the amount of 10% of the
