On behalf of our staff and students, I personally welcome you to the Waterbury Public School District.

In Waterbury, we are committed to supporting each and every teacher with high quality professional
learning opportunities, guidance of mentor teachers, and instructional coaches to guide and support
teachers in providing quality instruction.
As part of our commitment to your professional learning, our district will provide you with orientation
specifically designed for new teachers as outlined below.

A light lunch will be served daily.
It is suggested that you bring with you to training, your own personal device (laptop, iPad, smartphone) if
you’d like to access the materials being covered. All materials are located on the New Teacher
Orientation Webpage and we encourage you to review them prior to training. Materials are being
