To: Parents of Girls in the Junior Hockey Team
Hockey Championships– Monday 2nd February 2015
Dear Parents,
I have finally received the details regarding match times for the above tournament. Matches are scheduled to begin at
2.30pm and finish by 4.30pm. I have attached travel directions for getting to Worksop College. As you can see, this
route takes about 50 minutes so we are intending to leave school at 1.00pm to allow us enough time for poor map
reading decisions and a toilet break when we arrive!
TRANSPORT:
All girls will be driven to the venue by myself and Mr LeMottee.

 Mr LeMottee: Darcey, Samantha, Lottie, Amelie
However we need to make arrangements for collection of the girls after the tournament. Mr LeMottee and I are happy to
drive the girls back into Nottingham and meet parents at the Vale Pub, 380 Mansfield Road, NG5 3GG at approx.
5.30pm. However, although we can text you when we’re leaving Worksop, we are unable to specify a definite time by
which you should meet us there, and the tournament may over run. Therefore, ideally all girls should be picked up from
the venue but I am aware that due to work commitments, this may not be possible. Can you please indicate on the form
how your daughter will be leaving the tournament.
I have also attached both mine and Mr LeMottee’s contact numbers; these should only be used if there is an
emergency. May I remind parents that if their daughter normally uses a booster seat, then they transfer the seat to the
car in which they will be travelling.
ARRANGEMENTS AT THE VENUE:
When we arrive at Worksop College (S80 3AP) we are to park in front of the North Astro but make our way as a team
towards the South Astro where we are allowed to warm-up.
All girls will be expected to wear their full P.E kit including red jumpers, green tracksuit top and bottoms, white shirt,
shorts or skirt and red socks; they should come to school that morning already dressed in their hockey kit. All
players must also have shin pads and a mouth guard. Whilst refreshments are provided at the end of the tournament,
I suggest all girls take plenty of drink and a snack.
Please may all girls leave their bags in the adults’ cars and only take the following items to the pitch:
 Gum guard
 Drinks
 Snacks
 Additional layers of clothing – ideally a hoodie and coat in case it turns cold or wet!
These items can be carried in their hockey bag if it is big enough or in the school swimming bag.
