Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy can help with a wide range of injuries and conditions including back and neck pain,
repetitive strain injuries, joint pain and arthritis, muscle injuries, post-surgery rehabilitation, and sports
injuries. At BMI The Princess Margaret Hospital, there are physiotherapists that specialise in
Women’s Health, Acupuncture, Pilates, and Hand Therapy.
In your consultation with us the physiotherapist will assess the nature and site of your problem and
will relate it to your whole person and its effects on your lifestyle. Your first visit will involve an
assessment of your condition so that a treatment programme can be specifically developed for you.
We offer a wide range of therapies that are often used in combination in a treatment programme.
All BMI Physiotherapists are registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and the Health
and Care Professions Council. We work closely as part of our integrated multi-disciplinary teams
within our hospitals so that if necessary, you can benefit from fast referrals.

Additional Services
GP Sports Injury
Massage Therapy
At BMI The Princess Margaret Hospital, we offer an excellent Massage therapy service to assist in the
release and prevention of muscular tension, aches and pains. This could be caused by a recent
operation, injury or just day-to-day living. Our experienced massage therapists will tailor their
treatments around you and help you get back on your feet
What is Massage? Deep Tissue Massage is designed to relieve tension on a deeper muscular level,
ideal for those experiencing muscular pain and tension, be it on the back, neck and shoulders; the
lower back and gluteal; or the legs.
Sessions are tailored around the individual, combining classic holistic massage techniques to relax
the mind and body, with deep tissue techniques where required, to help smooth out any troublesome
and persistent knots and areas of tension.
Would Massage Benefit Me? You don’t need to be involved in heavy physical activities or an elite
athlete to benefit from Deep Tissue Massage. Day–to-day stresses such as sitting at your desk for
long periods of time, carrying heavy bags, being on your feet all day, driving long distances, playing
golf, gardening, an uncomfortable nights’ sleep or just a busy lifestyle can cause tension.
Please call Lisa on 07985 801 808 or Jenny on 07813 781 439.
