Please complete and return this form via email for all translation requests. Requests that are not accompanied by
this form will be returned. Submit requests for secondary and general Education Center business translations to
rod.segovia@gpisd.org. Submit requests for elementary* translations to linda.hinojos@gpisd.org. If you need to
provide instructions other than those included on this form, please call Rod Segovia at 972-522-3179 or Linda
Hinojos at 972-237-4020. For any other concerns contact Magda Schenck, Director of Bilingual/ESL Programs, at
972-237-4015.
*Requests from Powell will be directed to Rod Segovia.

Procedures
Copyrighted material will not be translated without
prior written authorization from the publisher.
All English/Spanish translations will be handled on
a first come, first served basis in the order in which
they are received.
Requests will be responded to via e-mail.
Please allow 2 working days for a 1-3 page
translation.
Simultaneous translations for meetings or group
gatherings are available. Please allow 2 or 3 days
in advance for this service by calling 972-2375389.
Please refrain from sending PDF documents.
It is preferred that files be in a format using
Microsoft Office: Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint,
Word.
If you need to send a document created in
Publisher, Power Point, Excel, etc. that includes
graphic designs (cartoons, images, etc.), please
allow a week for its translation.
Guidelines
Priority I:
 All translations coming from the District
 All Title I school translations
 All translations that are of a community outreach nature or
documents that are distributed to the parents/community
 All translations that have a direct effect on media and public
relations issues for the District
 All translations that are deemed a priority by the District
Superintendent or Program Director
Priority II:
 All District forms
Contract:
 All translations that are outside the guidelines of Priority I
& II
 If a translation is done by a third-party contractor, the
requester is responsible for all translation costs.
The Program Director reserves the right to determine priority
status of all translation requests received.
